Cancellation Policy

It is recommended that all guests take out cancellation insurance. We require a deposit to cover the first night's accommodation, payable either by cheque or Visa. Deposits are not normally refunded.

  • When a booking is made by a guest in writing or over the telephone a legally binding contract is entered into with the Proprietor.
  • If a guest cancels a booking before the end a the booked period then (s)he is in breach of contract and the Proprietor is entitled to damages.
  • This applies whether or not the Proprietor has made any provision for the cancellation or curtailment in any booking conditions.
  • In order to be entitled to make a claim for damages, the Proprietor must first make every reasonable effort to minimise the loss by trying to re-let the accommodation.
